81% SUSTAINABLY FARMED ESPADÍN, 15% FORAGED TOBALÁ AND 4% FORAGED TOBASICHE
MayaJules is a 14x award winning mezcal sourced from Oaxaca, Mexico. The inspiration for our blend is the sweetness of Espadín, the femininity provided by the floral and fruity notes of Tobalá, which combined with the exact mineral point of Tobasiche results in a great balance. The first perception on the nose is a warm, generous sensation with powerful aromas of caramel sweets. Immediately followed by notes of tropical and green fruits: from kiwi to plum to apple. These notes are accompanied by a mineral freshness that transports you to a sunset by the sea. Very balanced and round on the palate with a great body, the sweetness of the agave exceeds the 45% ABV. A pleasant astringency lingers in the aftertaste ending with a light smoke.
We are two female agave spirits enthusiasts introduced during a season of change and inspired to create a mezcal brand with wild agaves that appealed to our tastes - less smokey, subtle and approachable. The result - MayaJules mezcal, whose name was inspired by Mayahuel the Aztec Goddess of Agave. With MayaJules we bring the energy of the ancient Goddess to the modern world. MayaJules is not just a great spirit but an experience of sensuality and joy!
As a premium mezcal for all, our goal is to bring the experience of the beauty of Oaxacan culture, the stories of our master mezcalaras, the sensuality of the divine feminine and the joy of sharing a great spirit to the world!
